Cocktail fans with a taste for adventure are in for a treat this summer, as a selection of London’s most innovative bars are putting a futuristic twist on their mixology menu. “Twelve Nights of the Future”, curated by sherry-matured whiskey brand Naked Grouse and running through ‘til the end of August, promises a multisensory experience of mind-blowing drinks made with radical ingredients.
The weird and wonderful cocktails are being served in some of our favourite haunts, including Callooh Callay, Rumpus Room, High Water, Looking Glass cocktail club and NOLA. Each bar has been tasked with showcasing their “vision of the future” for the time honoured malt base, using techniques such as sous-viding, centrifuging and rotovapping (yes, we had to look that last one up, too). Definitely one to catch if you like to look beyond the classic cocktail menu.
