Following your visit to Christian Marclay’s The Clock, you’ll begin to notice clocks… Everywhere… What once were fleeting moments in moving images will now never be forgotten as they jump out from the screen.

24-hours long, The Clock is an intense labour of love following years of rigours and painstaking research. It is a montage of thousands of film and television images brought together and edited so they showcase the real time as you are watching it. From Orson Welles to Pulp Fiction, Titanic and Twin Peaks, go on an amazing journey through cinematic history from thrillers to westerns, science fiction and beyond.

For those who want the full experience, here are several dates where you can watch the film in it’s full 24-hour glory:

  • 13 – 14 September (Tate Members only)
  • 6 October
  • 3 November
  • 1 December

Get over to Tate Modern…time is ticking.
