To whet our whistles for the V&A’s upcoming exhibition ‘Frida Kahlo: Making Herself Up,’ Grosvenor are popping up an interactive installation and workshop space in Belgravia inspired by the lady herself. There’s a ‘Wallpaper Room’ echoing Nickolas Muray’s iconic portrait ‘Frida Kahlo on The Bench’ and a cobalt blue room riffing off the artist’s Casa Azul in Mexico City – it’s Instagram seventh heaven. There are some killer workshops too – although make sure to book in advance. Whether you want to make a Frida-style headdress with acclaimed floral designer Judith Blacklock, create a masterpiece with self-portrait artist Dan Whiteson or fashion paper blooms with multidisciplinary creative Lora Avedian, you’re might end up with masterpiece worthy of the Mexican muse herself.
