The V&A Future Starts Here exhibition is the first time the museum has turned its focus to the future and it is sure to blow your mind. Organised by Rory Hyde, the V&A’s curator of contemporary architecture and urbanism, and Mariana Pestana, an independent curator, architect and co-founder of design studio The Decorators, the focus is on objects that suggest future technological frontiers, ways of living and public debates, some of them contradictory. From portraits of Chelsea Manning generated by her DNA, to a seed bank to prevent loss of plant species in the event of a crisis, expect these 100 ground-breaking objects and designs to leave you with more questions than answers. Visitors will be guided by a series of ethical and speculative queries to connect the subject matter to the choices that everyone has in their everyday lives.
