As you may have noticed, there’s a sporting competition on at the moment. It’s a bit of a big deal.
To celebrate, The Blues Kitchen in Shoreditch and Camden have rolled out the burger to end all burgers – and rather cheekily named it after England’s most heartbreaking moment in the history of the World Cup – when Diego Maradona fisted the ball into the net to illegally score Argentina’s first goal against the three lions in 1986. It was followed however, by the greatest goal of all-time.
This burger – which packs in chorizo, fried egg, chimchurri, provoletta cheese and sliced avocado and a steak patty - is better regarded as a blend of both goals. It’s a bit dirty and a bit wrong (where I come from, eggs and beef don’t mix), but it’s also very, very, very good.
The Blues Kitchen are showing every England match throughout the tournament – so you can enjoy a Hand of God while watching the lads try their best to make it through the group.
