Hannah and Hanna received rave reviews when it first hit the stages back in 2001. Seventeen years later John Rellatack’s updated play, Hannah and Hanna in Dreamland, is packing just as powerful a punch. Covering themes of friendship, migration, integration, regeneration – and karaoke – this two woman, sparse set play is evocative and potent. The two friends go through many spills and thrills, and find that their friendship is built on solid ground, this many years on. Hanna (Celia Meiras) and Hannah (Lisa Payne) show a real connection as they go on a journey that many years ago they might never have thought possible.
