We were huge fans of Night’s Darkling Glory here at le cool – the immersive, classical-music drenched retelling of Tristan and Isolde was one of last year’s highlights so we’ve been waiting to see their next project. And it’s a doozy: an elaborate immersive version of Swan Lake with a cast list as long as your arm. 40-odd dancers, actors hidden among the crowd, two Masterchef champions on food duty and musicians from the Royal Philharmonic and BBC Symphony. Switching effortlessly from dance to feast to play to concert, in a space vast enough to make sure everyone gets a slightly different story, this raises the bar for London’s already thriving immersive theatre scene.
