London fizzes at night. It stimulates those who walk its streets, and inspires the writers who record it. Urbanist and author of Nightwalking: A Nocturnal History of London, Matthew Beaumont, is fascinated by the relationships between literature and the city. In this walk he will take participants on a journey through hidden rivers and unseen narratives, peeling back the layers to ask what London’s relationship to the night has been and might become. The event is part of Walking the City, a series exploring how the act of walking can create new ways of understanding, celebrating and re-imagining the city.
