How much?

To stroll through Robert Rauschenberg‘s oeuvre – a staggering collection of which is currently on display at the Tate Modern – is to take a tour through the anxieties of 20th century life, on a long and winding route through the greatest artistic movements of the era. So diverse was his six-decade career that it almost lacks cohesion as a single exhibition. There’s some Abstract Expressionism and some Warhol-esque Pop Art. There’s painting, performance art and sculpture – including a massive electronic, bubbling pit, like the swampy mud-bath of your nightmares. It’s a sight to behold.
