How much?

Pete Frame’s Rock family trees trace their roots back to the late 1960s and the venerable rock magazine, Zig-Zag, which he founded. Frame’s exhaustive, wonderfully detailed and hand-drawn diagrams were first published in Zig-Zag’s pages before being collected into a series of books, and even a BBC TV series. Frame, a highly esteemed music journalist and great British eccentric has traced the history and interconnecting personnel in almost every niche genre of Rock n Roll with his genealogical charts and this exhibition at the Barbican Library will see his work on display in all its glory. Even the most knowledgable of music geeks will be surprised by the nuggets of information and humour contained in these beautifully constructed charts. / Elliott Childs
