Rostam Batmanglij, AKA the musical genius behind Vampire Weekend (no shade to Ezra Koenig), plays a solo show at London’s Scala on Thursday, 14th June.

He’s had an eventful few years since he announced his departure from the beloved indie band. In 2016, he released a surprisingly effective collaborative album with The Walkmen singer Hamilton Leithauser.  A year later, he surpassed this with his beautiful debut record, Half Light, which is chock full of vibrant, string-heavy pop songs, including this gem, recorded alongside Wet’s Kelly Zutrau.

On top of this, he’s been producing tunes for the likes of Frank Ocean, Solange, HAIM, Lykke Li and Maggie Rogers. Oh, and he has “Batman” in his surname. Get your tickets here.
