You’ve got your Lycra, your acrylic, your polyester, nylon, rayon and acetate materials. But why wear polymers all day when you can wear sheep? It’s Wool Week and The Campaign for Wool has organised a bike ride so stitch go fast stripes to your best thick cable knit and start pedalling. The relaxed 13.4 mile course takes in London Bridge, Buckingham Palace and Westminster but also focuses on fashion-centric streets made famous by the wool industry. And if you find you’re tiring, follow the velopress, basically coffee on wheels, to Potters Fields where you can find actual sheep being shorn by an actual farmer. Support wool, don’t make sheep wear their own jumpers.
