WOD at Third Space

Slap bang in the heart of Canada Square, nestled among skyscrapers, you can’t help but feel like an ant as you ascend the escalator to Third Space Canary Wharf. It’s Europe’s largest luxury health club and it is enormous: 100,000 square feet across three floors, complete with a climbing wall, spanning the full height of the gym. As well as state-of-the-art training facilities, there are 210 classes to choose from per week – including a new CrossFit-inspired class called WOD (Workout of the Day). This intense group session combines classic exercises (we’re talking burpees, jumping rope, lifting kettlebells, etc.) in competitive reps against your peers. No two sessions are the same, but you’ll be lucky if you even make it back to a second – this is not for the faint-hearted. The astounding thing about Third Space is that whether you’re planning to languish after a big sesh or get out the door and back into the big city, there is everything you could ever dream of needing. A beautiful 23m pool filled with natural light, a spa, nail bar, The Pearson Room restaurant and a helpful members’ concierge. Little touches add a lot: think Cowshed products, multiple irons for that crisp office suit and a 24/7 valet. It would be easy to never leave this haven of chic. Who needs a flat when you could just get a Third Space membership?
