Summer Show
Chelsea’s Little Black Gallery is famous for its archive of Bob Carlos Clarke photographs – and its annual headline-grabbing exhibitions of the legendary snapper’s erotically-charged work. The most recent Clarke retrospective, Peep Show, required the gallery’s windows to be blacked out in the name of decency. But the small, perfectly-formed gallery is also a showcase for rising stars in the world of art photography. Its summer show, Wish You Were Here, features work from four fresh names – Jon Compson, with his deluxe visions of beauty; the punk hyper-reality of Danish photographer Elisabeth Molin; hot property Alistair Taylor-Young’s ethereal dreams and the pared-down precision of award-winning Hong Kong artist Kurt Tong. Leave the fetish fantasies at home this time, and enjoy the new breed. / Laura Mannering
