The Wild Boy’s Ball
Wild boys never lose it. Wild boys always shine. This night at Kensington Palace has nothing to do with the song but we jump on any excuse to bring up Duran Duran. It is in fact organised by one very specific Wild Boy, Peter, who used to live in the palace. He invites us all to go a bit Midsummer Night’s Dream and run around a magical playground dressed like nutters. The Enchanted Palace exhibition will be open but there’s far more fun to be had watching magic and puppetry performances and learning to make paper roses. Like a Victorian child’s birthday tea. But with gin and tonic not ginger beer. To top it all off you can waltz away the last of the evening at the masked ball until they turf everyone out at 10pm. It’s not quite midnight, but at least you can get the tube home. / Ashleigh
