Ladyhawke
New Zealand songbird Ladyhawke, aka Pip Brown, is back after her self-titled debut album rocked the airwaves back in 2008. That record wowed us with the breathy vocals of a Cyndi Lauper mixed with the electro punch of New Young Pony Club on My Delirium and Paris in Burning. Her much anticipated new album Anxiety is due out 19th March and promises more distressed riffs and pacey, atmospheric new-wave synths. The first single, Black, White and Blue, a repetitive glammy 80s number, comes out on Sunday. Providing your first slice of the sounds, Rough Trade has set up a sweet treat for Monday night where Ladyhawke will be performing live in-store for free, as long as you’ve managed to get your mitts on a wristband. / Deni Kirkova
