Interview with the cover designer

JAMES-LEE DUFFY

Pig fat? What's going on in this cover James?

I have become slightly obsessed with a local butchers located at the top of my mews in Camden. Every morning bright and early I stand peering inside wondering what delights I can cook for dinner. I now make any excuse to have a dinner party or an extravagant lunch.

Sounds tasty. What you up to at the moment?
I’m currently starting up a creative collective called the Black Rabbits.
We will be launching with a group show very soon.
Pavement Licker no.7 will be out this summer with a big party. I have started work on the new collection for She Died Of Beauty with the lovely Erin O'Connor and my gorgeous fiancée Kate Halfpenny.
As well all the above I work for a selection of creative agencies around London as an Art Director/Graphic Designer.

What, who, where and how is your inspiration?
Hmmm, I seem to surround myself with creative people and my house and studio is my creative refuge. I have a blog where I seem to download my over working brain. Check it out here.

What would you take as your ingredients for Ready, Steady Cook?
A pig’s head, a few whole gherkins, a jar of whole grain mustard, chicory leafs and a red onion.

That’s quite a sandwich. Where can we see more of your of work?
You can check out all my work here.
Or find me hanging out here:
