Alright there Zaire? What are you up to?
I am brilliant thank you, just having a cup of Rosie Lee, reading le cool.
What was the thinking behind this cover then?
Well the Royal guard are the first thing I think of when I think of London. It's a modern twist on an old tourist staple. I wanted to take the cover back in time a little, I wanted it to feel reminiscent of old London.
Do you line your pens and pencils up on your desk in colour and lead thickness order? Or are you well messy?
I do, I keep my paints and pencils in colour order. It's just a little ritual to do before I start working. It sort of clears my mind. I tend to start off really neat then end up with a mountain of materials cluttering my desk.
Your work is incredibly detailed. Do you look through a magnifying glass, with your tongue stuck out when you draw?
Ha! I just work really close to the paper. I love drawing intricate details that your eyes could miss, and I like creating work that needs a second look.
