Away from the mediocre Mexican of the High Street, this Shoreditch spot is about more than just guac, salsa and kilos of melted cheese. Straight out of Mexico, we mean the owner/chef Edson Diaz-Fuentes and lots of the ingredients, your eyes may avert at the sight of guac and grasshoppers so leave it tastebuds to do the dancing. Forget Tex-Mex, like all authentic grub this is a menu inspired by the natives, and eventually the Spaniards who bought with them influences from the Romans.. So do like they do in the cantinas and botaneras of Mexico and enjoy a feast for you stomach and soul.. In a city where Mexican food is often more novelty than niche, this tiny taqueria champions the latter.
