Every day is Christmas for beer lovers at The Bottle Shop. Not quite a bar, not quite an off license, this gem of a boozer is snuggled away – like  it’s neighbouring craft breweries on Druid Street – in a disused railway arch in Bermondsey, serving out big frothy pints of joy from Thursday to Sunday.

There’s something for everyone: beer nerds, hop heads, and even – perish the thought – cider guzzlers. It’s collection is unlikely to be matched anywhere else in Britain. As one of the top importers of beer in the UK (they provide beer for all the best stocked restuarants like Byron), they have unparalleled access to amazing beer from all around the world such as Scandi gems Omnipollo and Mikkeler, and Dutch legends De Molen.

Plus, they’ve just kickstarted £400,000 to facilitate American craft brewers, who won’t allow their beer to be exported unless it is refrigerated 100% of the way to maintain quality, to do just that. So that means there’s even more amazing beer on the way. Get down to Bermondsey and fill your boots!
