With the dizzying success of The Drunken Monkey, the Chan brothers (continuing their penchant for reckless animals) will be launching Bull in a Chinashop on Monday 20th. The site, nestled under Shoreditch railway bridge has been a local oddity for years; despite its antique, listed shopfront, it has been vacant for years but for occasional, errant TfL employees. Said shopfront is even adorned with a beautiful and haunting Borondo mural. The unique and Dickensian space draws customers in off the street with the smell of whisky doused rotisserie chicken and the promise of one of London’s finest Japanese whisky selections. If you ask us, east-west fusion should always converge over a good Japanese whisky. As if that wasn’t enough to have the foodie hoards salivating, they’ve thrown a (bang-on-trend) charcoal-bun burger into the mix. With a breakfast menu that could prop up a Scot at the Highland Games to boot, major pavement congestion under Shoreditch railway bridge is to be expected.
