Congratulations – you’ve just stumbled upon the holy grail of Sunday brunches. Come in, take a load off. You’ll walk out of here better, more fulfilled, than you walked in.
The Devonshire Club, a private members bar/restaurant/hotel near Liverpool street, is the best kept secret in a heaving London brunch market. Not only is the setting elegant, the food delicious and the booze free-flowing, but it is all included for a pretty reasonable £45.
This means you can arrive at 11am and indulge in some eggs, and wash that down with prosecco (bottomless) before heading on to oysters, prawns, or, perhaps, steak. And then, just as the button on your trousers is about to pop, you can indulge in a whole bloody Sunday roast.
Of course, you could also exercise some self control, instead, and enjoy small plates from the extensive menu and a few glasses of wine before popping on your merry way. Either will be fun. One will be more fun, though.
