Paddington is popping off at the moment. Not only has the Pergola group just set up another beautiful summer grub and booze terrace near the train station where the Peruvian bear was discovered, but new great restaurants and bars are popping up on a weekly basis. One such spot is Heist Bank, a recently-opened all day watering hole located a short walk from London’s ambitiously named ‘Little Venice’.
On the menu? Coffee, pizza, delicious draft craft beer – their taps rotate regularly – and… flowers. It’s an odd mix, but it works. The pizzas are made from 48-hour fermented sourdough, whatever that means, but they’re very tasty – try the white pizza with smoked sausage, sage and chili, and don’t forget to add plenty garlic oil. There’s a games room with a N64 (Mario Kart is a must), and a terrace for sunny afternoons.
