How much?
£50 dinner for two

Look at that picture (then wipe away the little food porn dribble!) Hard to believe it was taken inside a steel box, isn’t it. But Kricket is the latest restaurant to open in POP, Brixton’s shipping container village. And there’s some culinary Mumbai magic happening in this one. Chef and owner Will Bowlby takes classic, favourite dishes, cooks them perfectly, then gives them a cheeky twist. That there in the middle is Keralan fried chicken – light and juicy with a curry kick. Samphire pakoras are crisp vehicles for sticky date and tamarind chutney. Smoked aubergine piles high onto umami-rich seaweed popadoms. Whilst bourbon and orange cocktails are laced with cardamon. Until now, Bowlby has hosted pop up supper clubs but he’s taking root in Brixton. His home may have been built in a day, but these dishes were not.
