A celebration of all things crustacean, Cristine Leone and Christina Lahaniati, of modern tapas restaurants Ivy’s and Little Ivy’s, bring us their latest offering; Lobster Bar. As the name suggests, the menu revolves around small and large plates of fresh, sustainable seafood. More surprisingly, many dishes are perfectly paired with creative cocktails from the drinks menu. As you may have guessed, the main event here is the whole grilled lobster, which is succulent and delicious. The cosy setting is perfect for a dark winter night – warehouse chic, with a warm welcome and friendly, knowledgeable service. Ultimately, Lobster Bar has none of the pretentiousness of some of the other Hackney restaurants, with better tasting, better-looking food.
