Pizza MOD is the kind of pizzeria that is likely to send a Neapolitan traditionalist into a fit.
The whole idea here is to create your own pizza, and your server will assemble it in front of your eyes as you go. There’s a whole load of fantastic toppings and sauces to choose from, which makes it damn near impossible to stay minimal, and from my experience, it generally means stuffing as many delicious things on as possible and praying that you haven’t gone overboard.
The ingredients are fresh and tasty, and you can put as much as you want on your pizza for just over £7. I managed to get chorizo, chicken, bacon, pesto, parmesan, mozzerella, sundried tomatoes and roasted peppers on mine and it was somehow greater than the sum of its parts. And, I still haven’t suffered the heart attack that I probably deserve, so… a total win.
