Everyone’s got an opinion on what’s London’s best burger joint. Patty & Bun is featuring on a lot of people’s lips. The familiar story of “pop-up meat makers” taking root has happened again, this time just off Bond Street. Serving a small but perfectly formed burger menu to be washed down with some rum punch or a Red Stripe (visions of Caribbean beaches spring to mind), Patty’s nail it where so many others fail. We tucked into the ‘Lambshank Redemption’ and the ‘Smokey Robinson’ , but could have happily taken the rest of the menu home with us, which is why they offer takeaway. Get here early as the cosy 30 seats fill up quickly, but don’t forget to pick up a retro choc ice for dessert on the way out. It definitely won’t melt on your way home. / James Randall
