We were lucky enough to visit Rotunda on a warm day. We sat almost in the canal, on a beautiful terrace, watching the world go by on the water, the only issue now is that we have a hankering to live on a houseboat! The menu is full of fresh, carefully thought-through food. The beef and lamb come from their own farm in Northumberland – the Merguez sausages are particularly succulent. We had a selection of the ‘bites and nibbles’ plates, even the simple asparagus came with a mouth-watering truffle hollandaise. If you’re feeling fancy we’d suggest trying the Perrier-Jouet Chanpagne cocktail, totally refreshing, and punchy.
