Head down to the basement of The Boundary Project and you’ll find TraTra, the vogueish bistro from French chef and cookery writer Stéphane Reynaud. Exposed brick walls, sultry lighting and secluded alcoves make it perfect date night territory, but the space – and menu – is just as much for a band of mates. The big draw at TraTra (a colloquial French term meaning a mix of trad and contemporary) is the bottomless charcuterie. Yes – you head right – all-you-can-stomach sharing boards of cheese, saucisson, chorizo, andouille, terrine, bread and the all-important cornichons for £15 per person. Or come by between 5 and 7pm to get all that for a tenner. If that’s not your vibe, there’s sharing platters of veg, seafood or cheese, including a dreamy creamy Tomme de Savoie. If by some miracle, you have room for desserts, expect well-executed French classics, but if done properly, you should leave stuffed with Cantal, Cabernet and contentment.
