Honey Spencer’s Bastarda and Elizabeth Haigh’s Kaizen House have teamed up to host a trio of Christmas feasts this December. Starting on Thursday 6th, the festive evenings will feature five courses created by Elizabeth paired with ‘suitcase wines’, a selection of rare finds from Honey’s travels. Dishes will include the likes of pigeon, duck and goose pithivier with coffee roasted carrots and smoked XO sprout tops and s’mores made with coconut marshmallow, kaya jam and cinnamon biscuit. To recap: Bastarda’s ethos is to facilitate ‘intelligent collaborations between innovators and tastemakers’, whilst the premise behind Kaizen House is to ‘find ways to create and do exciting, inspiring, educational things that help improve the hospitality industry and the lives of those who support it’. The pop-up will be held in Narroway Studios – an intimate space seating 30 in Hackney –  and crockery has been made specially for the event by local ceramicist SkandiHus. Sound up your street?
