I’ve always fancied myself as a louche cabaret artiste. I reckon I can do most of it, but (apparently) I can’t pull off the velvet corset and nipple-tassels – whatever. Anyway, I’m off to Soho; to the infamous Black Cat Cabaret and if like me, you’re the type who’s up for a bit of the theatrical, you ought to come along. Acts on the bill include; Vicky Butterfly (burlesque performance artist), Eastend Cabaret (sophistication and smut) and Chrisalys (fire-eating pig?). Plus a wandering magician and apocalyptic accordion player, and, as if this isn’t enough, there’s fine dining and moonlit cocktails in surroundings so seductively bohemian, you’ll think you’ve wandered into a Parisian house of dubious morals. The Black Cat offers not just a great night out, but a beautiful, memorable experience. So kick off your shoes, line up the absinthe and surrender yourself to the cabaret.
