Buffy buff? Slay your way to the witching hour (and beyond) at The Book Club this Saturday, when its basement will transform into Sunnydale High’s hottest hangout, The Bronze, recalling the spooky storylines and freaky fashion crimes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
The evening kicks off with a drawing class courtesy of Art Macabre, who’ll be on hand to help you create eerie likenesses of Buffy and her crew and turn out demonic doodles, as you enjoy a selection of potions from the bar. There’ll also be a themed life drawing session with model Ranny Cooper, whose razor-sharp cheekbones could summon up the spirit of the 90s with a single glance.
At 6pm there’ll be a screening of two back-to-back classic Buffy episodes, before all hell breaks loose for a grungy after-party featuring ‘rocking alt tunes’, 90s hip-hop and dance music classics in honour of everyone’s favourite slayer. Dress code is Sunnydale chic: think patterned flannel shirts (some of Xander’s were loud enough to raise the dead), pleather mini skirts and platform heels.
