This is a god dream: The holy trinity. Fried chicken, beer and hip-hop. It melts in your mouth as you say it. It is sustenance for the stomach, the ears and the soul. I didn’t grow up in south coast USA. I grew up in south Dublin. A far cry from the sunshine, fried chicken and funky hip-hop beats. It was wet. Real wet. So this is my chance to immerse myself in a culture that is so distant from mine, that I quietly dedicated myself to throughout my youth(particularly in my fat years from 2000-06). But why should you go, you say? Well if the food and the booze doesn’t get you, the tunes surely will. Southern Hospitality, the boys behind Hip-Hop Karaoke, will be on hand spinning banger after banger, from smooth old school jams to fresh new cuts.
