With colder, darker nights fast approaching we look forward to spending more of our time indoors getting cosy with our loved ones. But for many in London, that’s a luxury they just don’t have. The Choir with No Name serves many purposes: not least providing a safe place for anyone who has experienced homelessness/marginalisation from society to hang out, meet new people, learn valuable life skills and grow their confidence, but it also brings them the gift of music – cause let’s face it, belting out a ballad does wonders for the soul. Using top-notch musicians and covering a multitude of genres, their aim is to provide world-class performances born from an environment that makes everyone feel loved and welcomed. On 31st October, the Choir with no Name will be closing the One Festival of Homeless Arts, and even on the coldest, greyest of days, their performances will melt your frosty little heart.
