Mexico’s Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, once again comes to life in Bethnal Green at the RichMix cultural centre. As well as the customary abundance of skeletons and shrines, in true Crick Crack Club style they’ll be three performance storytellers. Spinning tales to maximum effect will be Nell Phoenix, TUUP and Tim Ralphs.

Come dressed up. Don’t come dressed up. It’s up to you. However much you add to the visual feast and indulge in the theatrical flourish, hopefully amidst it all, everyone finds a moment to remember passed loved ones in their own way.

As this festival truly is a celebration of the cycle of life and death. A tribute of love and honour through pointed remembrance, joyous celebration and beautiful craft in bright colours.

Fun fact: since 2008, Día de los Muertos has been recognized by UNESCO as a living part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
