Now here’s a rarity. I consider myself a bit of a Miles Davis fan but I never knew he’d acted in a movie, let alone one that featured some of his very last work. But here it is and according to the Guardian it’s ‘must-see’. Telling the story of an young Australian jazz man and his travels to find the legendary musician who inspired him, Dingo is part travelogue, part thinly disguised bio-pic and part beautifully shot drama. The soundtrack, recorded by Davis and film composer Michel Legrand, is unsurprisingly top-notch, featuring some haunting solo piano pieces and soem cool Parisian bebop the recalls a much earlier version of the great man.
