If you can ignore that awful name and the ‘British Vampire Weekend’ tag there’s much to love in Fair Ohs. Sixties beat music rubs shoulders with African guitar, and ramshackle beats back blissed out chanted choruses. Like this year’s greatest white hopes, Foals, they mix the dancefloor with the indie club but in an engagingly acoustic way. Support comes from Roman who seem rather mysterious (partly because there are about five bands with that name) but who seem to be responsible for this rather odd (and good) set of tunes and videos.
