You probably bought half the baking aisle after watching The Great British Bake Off. Dreaming of creating layered cakes dripping with chocolate sauce, Battenbergs that your mother would be proud of and finally tackling the trickiest customer of them all, choux pastry for eclairs. Dreamily covered with chocolate glaze. Of course after taking one look at the recipe, you decided it’d best if you first sampled eclairs. You know, just to be sure that you are making the right thing.
The most colourful eclairs in town, courtesy of Maître Choux, are opening up a new treasure trove of delights. This time on King’s Road just down from the Saatchi Gallery. Drop on over after 11am on the 30th November and 1st December as they give away 100 free freshly baked eclairs to those first 100 lucky visitors. Choose from their Spanish raspberry pink eclairs, Vert D’Iran and Citron Meringue & Bergamot, raspberry and caramel choux, and dark chocolate chouquettes.
Who knows, this inspiration just might lead to a handshake from Paul Hollywood next year.
