Back for its sixth year, Fringe is here to brighten these dark days with a celebration of diversity and love. Run entirely by volunteers, this not-for-profit festival will be taking over a host of East London’s best venues, including the Rio Cinema, Barbican, and The Glory, to bring you a delicious selection of LGBT treats from around the globe. Shining a light on key themes including queer families, voguing and the horror of this year’s Orlando attack, the programme is packed with a host of screenings, talks, panels, workshops, performance and parties. Film highlights include the award-winning Kiki, Lena Dunham-produced documentary Suited and the camp classic Death Becomes Her. There’s also a BDSM basics workshop with the divine Holestar and a “cosy roundtable discussion” on Ballroom Culture (think Paris Is Burning, not Strictly). Get off the internet and immerse yourself in a week of positivity, community and queer culture.
