Norwich-based theatre pioneers Curious Directive present the supernatural coming-of-age VR thriller Frogman.Set in The Great Barrier Reef in 1995, the hour-long play merges live theatre and Virtual Reality to tell the story of a missing girl, both in the past and present day. Structured as a court hearing, the audience is cast as the jury in a gradually unfolding a tale of death and deception, submerged in a blend of youthful nostalgia with a dark sense of haunting unease.
This boldly ambitious production was the must-see show at the Edinburgh festival last year it has been re-worked for the Shoreditch Town Hall. Frogman blurs the lines between reality and fiction, and the physical and digital, with half the show seen through VR goggles and half theatre performance in front of your very eyes. Dive into the unknown.
