An ode to Peruvian and Andean culture takes over the secret spaces beneath Somerset House this week. This sensory salute includes a practical puppet workshop, Virgilio Martinez of Michelin starred restaurant, LIMA, bringing organic indigenous ingredients from the Andes and the Amazon for guests to taste, an exhibition featuring colourful tapestries, totems, ceramics, masks and more made by Sixe Paredes in collaboration with the creative community of Peru and the Andes. On 23 May, London radio station NTS will host DJ sets of Andean and Latin American music spun by Sixe Paredes and Nano4814 alongside NTS DJs. Hand selected Peruvian feature films which are driving Peru forward in cinematic culture will also be shown on 25 May.
