It’s rare that we big up a gig as much for the venue as for the music but the chance to catch some live music in the beautiful surroundings of The Barbican’s leafy conservatory is too good to miss. Of course it helps that the music for the setting is being picked by the Nest Collective, whose take on modern folk and intimate gigs has long made them a le cool fave. The inaugural gig features the intriguing sounding This Is How We Fly, a group whose music is self-described as ‘jazz, Irish traditional, Swedish folk and ambient electronica ‘. Amazing setting, amazing sounds. This should be a winner.
