Over the past few weeks, tributes have been pouring in for Phife Dawg, founding member of A Tribe Called Quest, who sadly passed away on March 22nd as a result of diabetes-related complications.
With The Low End Theory, Phife and Q-Tip laid the groundwork for the chilled-out hip-hop sound that became synonymous with the ‘90s. Kanye, Andre 3000, D’Angelo and countless other leaders in music today cite ATCQ as one of their greatest influences.
This Friday, with the help of the Doctor’s Orders DJ crew, pour one out for Phife Dawg, a true hip-hop legend.
