We’ve got a very big soft spot in our collective le cool hearts for Hunter Valentine. We saw the New York-based,all girl rock n rollers smash the sheeesh out of The Borderline five years ago and then had an evening of applaudable heavy drinking with them and kinda kept in contact. I bumped into them in Portland and at South By South West in Texas a couple of years ago, we watched as lead singer Kiyomi became all famous on a reality TV show, saw a couple of line up changes and then got all proud when they went on tour with Sum 41 recently. Now they’re back over for a couple of London shows – The Garage tonight and Candy Bar next Thursday – and a few other UK dates and tickets have been selling fast. Expect fast-paced, growly rock music and then some even more applaudable heavy drinking.
