If you love good music and live in London then you’ve come across Gillles Peterson. From his 6 Music world music show to DJ gigs all over the city the man has introduced more thrillingly unknown records to us than virtually everyone. So when he decides to take over a record shop for a week of events you KNOW it’s going to be good. Not only is he stocking Look Up with his favourite vinyl but he’ll also be introducing sets from the likes of Goldie, Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy, James Lavelle and Dave Haslam. And just when you think it couldn’t get any better you find out that all proceeds will go to Safaplace, which focuses on mental health problems amongst school-age young people. A great week from a lovely guy.
