If the new season of Twin Peaks has increased your appetite for everything surreal, then The Double R Club have the slice of cherry pie you’ve been hankering for. The Miss Twin Peaks Contest has seven small-town beauties ready to show you what darkness really lurks beneath when they take to the stage at the Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club this Thursday. Ringmaster of all things creepy, Benjamin Louche, will be hosting this sordid little affair as performers including Coco Malone, Ayesha Hussain and Rodent Decay compete for the crown. Expect voices from other dimensions, twisted dance techniques, Lynchian lip-syncs, a few logs, the odd Chevron rug and endless cups of coffee. Perhaps even the greatest mystery of them all will finally be answered: we’re now six episodes into the new season – where the hell is Audrey Horne???
