Nik Colk Void is taking a break from avant-techno trio Factory Floor for another stint as a solo artist (after a very successful and rather fruitful collaboration or two). Her sound has been described as austere, nailbiting electronica. What this actually means – I do not know – but intrigued I am. She’s pitching up to play with a bank of synthesizers and an exhilarating, unusual approach to the electric guitar.
