Origins Festival is a special treat. Biannually it brings top artists from the four corners of the world for a rich and colourful celebration of indigenous cultures. This Sunday alone there’s a play about a Samoan male who lives as a female in ‘Kava Girls’, Peruvian embroidery from Bella Lane, a musical documentary about the Sámi people of Norway, a 1-2-1 puppet performance about ayahuasca, a concert with Baka Beyond who fuse Celtic and trad Bakusic from Cameroon, the Australian Aboriginal film ‘Charlie’s Country’, a Native American feast, and a series of talks including food and spirituality, the LGBT experience, and LatAm indigenous cultures. The festival is on until 25th June, check out the extensive programme.
