Summer may be about to hang up its hat for another year – but never fear, festival fever hasn’t left the building just yet. September is when Oxjam kicks off, with towns and cities all over the UK preparing for takeovers by local emerging talent. Dogstar is lucky enough to see creative collective Purple taking control of its upstairs room for Oxjam Brixton’s launch party, with yoga, drawing workshops and a quiz to be followed by a night of high-energy partying. At only £7 a ticket, and the knowledge your entry fee is going to a charitable cause, you really should make that journey south of the river.
