An explosion of colour greets visitors heading up the stairwell of the once disused multi-storey car park and into Peckham Levels; the steps, walls and handrails are all painted in vivid and eye-catching hues. Here is a 90,000 sq ft space that’s been transformed into a cultural hub – work units, street food, galleries, yoga spaces and more fill the six levels. And this weekend it’s celebrating its year anniversary with a Friday to Sunday extravaganza. Expect performances at late-night music venue Ghostnotes, cocktails and DJs at Near and Far, a beer treasure hunt from Lady Godiva, workshops and a bespoke fashion market from pop-up brand Wasted Chic. To eat? Seven south London traders will be dishing up a range of delights, including Other Side Fried with their awesome chicken burgers (mine’s a Buffalo), wings from Drums & Flats and super healthy raw fish bowls from Lords of Poké. Plus bottomless brunch from animal-free eatery Wildflower (we love their onion bhajis with curry raita). Yum.
